"I come from a proud family that has been involved in public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our schools, and make public safe, gun control in particular, a top priority. With nearly a decade of community experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate complicated governmental agencies, and get things done." As a community activist I have spent many years helping and bringing resources to people who needed help in my community .

 LIST OF ISSUES

EDUCATION
  • Some Cleveland neighborhoods have an illiteracy rate as high as 95%

  • 66% of Cleveland residents are functionally illiterate

  • Functional illiteracy is defined as having math, reading, or language skills below a 4th grade level

  • At this level, people may struggle to read a bus schedule, medicine bottle or job application

  • An adult without a high school diploma earns 42% less than an adult with a diploma

  • A mother’s reading skill is the greatest determinant of her children’s future academic success, and outweighs other factors like neighborhood and family income

  • The percentage of adults without a high school diploma who live in poverty is twice that of those who have a high school diploma. {source: seeds of literacy}

  • These are facts in my ward as well as Cleveland I would like to help change these numbers so that my residents can better be able to up grade there life style and income to acknowledge  there is a problem is to say I am willing to help make the problem go away or reduce these above numbers.

HOUSING
I feel that housing codes should be enforced and communities should come up to standard of living. There are block grant to help our communities to make home improvement. These services and programs  are not reaching our residents to be useful to make living in there home comfortable and safe. I stand by the "Quality of Life Ordinance" and if enforced and understood by the CPD Cleveland Police Department and the community our community can share respect for each other.

ENVIRONMENT
Lead and clean water for the community is only some  of my issues that concern me greatly. There are programs that are offered  free of charge in our communities thru out  Ward 11 and the City of Cleveland  that will help with lead in the homes. Public health needs to be on the front row in Cleveland , Ohio there are many issues that need to be addressed.

DIVERSITY

Ward 11 Cleveland, Ohio is made up of all ethic groups of people and each group should be respected for there life style of living. Everyone should be reward for helping to keep a healthy community.

BUSINESS

As a community we support new business and look forward to bring in new business .There is block grant money that support helping business along the newly repaired streets in this Ward 11 .These funds are to help redo store fronts and repairs to bring your business up to code

HEALTHCARE
It is my concern that every person in ward 11 have access to health care. In and around this Ward 11 there are several income base facilities. Metro Health center of community health, Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland  and many other that are income base. A healthy body makes a health mind and a healthy community. Resources are  to be shared thru out the community and the city.
